Today there is volume spurt of 24x coupled with breaching of upper circuit...any news on this stock which led to this??
Last time before open offer announcement there were similar high volume spurts and then finally the news came out.

i think what could be added to your assessment is that virat has not grown too much in last 3-4 yrs whereas spenta has...also spenta has a much larger capacity than virat. Last but extremely important is the cash generated ability of spenta which is far superior than that of virat... i had evaluated both stocks, met the management, talked to factory employees and its customers and eventually decided in favor of spenta... infact if you do the last bit virat, does not stand a chance.therefore, I invested in spenta a few quarters back but have booked out fully due to this bse circular of price caps...else my personal fav was spenta...

I have the same view as the valuations are out of whack.
Of course, there are limitations of holding company, have to exit at the bank at various stages etc.
But finally there is a price of everything and today's price of IDFC makes it attractive for 13-15% CAGR over the next five years.

For a long term investor interested in IDFC Bank, would it make sense to buy IDFC (as it holds 53% of IDFC Bank) instead of IDFC Bank ?. If not, why ?

Unitech & Lanco are risky bets. Expecting turn around in Q3, Q4. Also Unitech is 2nd biggest realtor available at 20% of book value. Its only 1700 crore. Imagine you can buy out a formidable real estate company for less than 2000 crores.....I see this as a discount. however last 30 days no great movement, rather lost some money in both.
I didnot plan for diversification Cap wise or Industry wise. I am picking stocks basis MOS & IV.
I am tracking companies, where QoQ losses are reducing- so that at some point they cross over to profit. May be stock will pick up from that inflection point. Let me know if this method is wise or has any + correlation with price movements

Look at Force motors, its has a good play in small commercial and Light commercial vehicles.
