What about the Multix sales numbers? Anyone has any insights into this? I don't think the November sales numbers included Multix unless I have overlooked something.
If I am not wrong, I believe the sales for Multix commenced in August?

Stock has taken 8 months to solidly consolidate in the 600-700 range.
seems that everyone has lost interest in this company.will recent govt servants pay hike impact rural pressure cooker demand ? has aluminium prices helped hawkins ? how has the recent diwali sales been ? will valuations for gandhimati give some indication to hawkins' valuations ? lastly will the old man keep to his word in last agm of taking care of demand ( as he took care of supply 2 years back ) ? lastly will this co be sold ( is some back channel talks happening ) ? lastly is anyone in this forum still invested in this co ?
disclosure invested at higher levels ( with pain no gain )
Deepak Fertilisers chart pattern shows a typical cup and handle pattern.
For those un initiated some salient points about the pattern.
The shape of the pattern is that of a rounding U shaped cup and a shallow smaller handle which is having a slightly downward drift.
The pattern can take six to sixty five weeks to form. (many a times this timelines are interpreted arbitrarily and what is important is the formation).
The points joining the tops of the cup is the neckline and that usually has traditionally been offering resistance from where stock prices react .
The handle portion is a smaller formation of shorter duration than the cup and has a downward drift. The hallmark of the handle is the very low volumes during its time frame. Immediately prior to handle formation and specifically after breakout, the volumes show a sharp jump.
Measuring implication is the height of cup added to the breakout point and this usually provides minimum price targets. Many a times these targets can be exceeded.
attached deepak fertiliser chart with comments in the charts. (this is not a recommendation but an example of a well known pattern shown in charts)

Promoters have been selling stocks. They sold 1 lakh shares in bulk deal yesterday. Even on Friday, they sold 50,000 shares. They have been regular sellers. They have to sell a large quantity so that after warrant conversion, their holding does not go above 75%. Will this overhang of selling let the stock move up? valuations are not low either - p/bv 5x, p/e 21x on fully diluted basis!
For formulation makers, APIs represent lower margin business many a times. (Occasionally there might be higher margin niche APIs).
Plus for a company focussing on formulations the effort to put up and run an api plant may not be worth the effort.
And putting up an API plant where the quantity of the stuff required for captive consumption is quite low may not make economic sense.
e.g for abilify, torrent used to source its API from someone else . (I think hetero).
whereas alembic is nearly vertically integrated for abilify.
So at the end of the day it depends on how strategically important it is for the company to manufacture its required APIs.
Coming to Neuland I had a look at the company and it does hold promise but how it delivers needs to be seen. Management has indicated some possibilities which can turn out to be interesting. But personally I would still prefer to keep it in my watchlist only.
Dear All,
This is my first post. It is very nice to be a part of this forum with so much extensive discussions and logical explanations by our members, seniors.
This are my interpretation of the upcoming IPOs. IPOs have lost their charm and the general perception is to better buy in secondary market rather than investing in IPOs.( correct me if i am wrong)
The 2 new IPOs in the healthcare sector from DEC 8th namely ALKEM LABORATORIES ( pharma ) and LAL PATH LABS are being released in a very high price band which they dont deserve.
Drawbacks;
ALKEM LABORATORIES ( pharma ) :
Price band of 1020 -1050 is too very high . 300 - 315 should have been in a comfortable zone to invest.
Inspite of being issued at a higher priceband , the facevalue of each share is only Rs 2/- and not Rs 10/-.
LAL PATH LABS:
Priceband of 540-550 seems high
The money being raised by IPO is being used to relieve the promoters and investors and not for company use or expansion
Kindly add / give suggestions.
