NCL Industries – Resumption of growth? (18-11-2015)

I had a talk with CFO of panyam cements...he agreed that the cartel is there...and it will sustain over years now's...they have seen the situation they face by competing each other...the reason he told for low performance is monsoon...till today rains are heavy in those areas...now the demand will pick up in next 20days...once rain gets over...he told the performance of the 3rd quarter would be better than the second one...but might not be better than the 1st quarter...this can be a hint that the demand in south is low...but again there was an article shared...that there Is a temporary pause In the developmental activities...there I a delay in the activities...the story In on...with some delays due to monsoons and other delays in construction activity...so guys chill..and stay invested...

Dr Reddys and Camber (hetero) have been asked to stop shipments of nexium bcos of the purple color of their tablets. This leaves Teva, Mylan and torrent in the fray for the nexium molecule.

changing the color of the tablets will take a month or two and this is the window of opportunity for torrent pharma to gain market share and make the most of the nexium opportunity. Nexium is also a big molecule with few players.

Looks like torrent has had another piece of good luck at the cost of other players in a big molecule. One needs to see how torrent exploits the opportunity it is presented along with a piece of good luck.

Ruchira Papers – Low downside high upside (18-11-2015)

Hi,

Nice write up...but I don't see any moat in this business...in paper till I understand there is branding but the switching costs is too low.. Customers will switch over easily in case of new competitors bringing in cheap or differentiated products...paper sees demand from manufacturing sector only...i don't see any increase in demand for Kraft papers-which is used by children generally...i might be wrong also here...
Is there any increase or doubling In capacity...which can give good returns...can you elobrate on this point

Here I am not listing lincoln along with torrent and alembic..they are proven ones..
But Lincoln is small cap having very robust products in pipe line and its undervalued and its eps is expected to be multi fold in next few years..
It is like caplin 2 years ago.

Disclo.: Holding Lincoln and mangalam 5% each..and adding in each and every dip.planing to take it to 8-10%
