According to me, I can be wrong, the redemption will be percentage based. As large AUM will have more investors and less AUM will have typically less investors, hence less AUM is not a problem.
Though I will like to put counter argument that with high AUM, to gain performance, some mutual funds might invest in liquid stocks or own a huge amount of stocks in a company that they might not be able to sell in downturn at good prices.
