Amid protests by the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal, TMC General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee announced that he will not take part in Durga Puja festivities until the state’s Governor meets him in Kolkata. The protest was organized to draw attention to the plight of the poor people who have been deprived of their rights by the BJP-led central government.
