Former Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren, arrested in a money laundering case, has been allowed by a special court to participate in the trust vote in the state assembly. He filed a petition seeking permission to attend the special session and participate in the proceedings. The new government has sought the floor test to prove its majority. The court accepted Soren’s petition, allowing him to attend the session. The court also denied Soren’s request for a night stay in jail due to security concerns.
