DMK finalises seat-sharing deal with allies VCK, MDMK
Tamil Nadu's ruling DMK has finalized seat-sharing agreements with allies VCK and MDMK, repeating its 2019 deal. VCK will contest from two reserved constituencies, while MDMK has been allocated one seat. However, DMK is yet to clinch a pact with Congress, a part of the Opposition INDIA bloc. The agreements were sealed at the DMK headquarters, Anna Arivalayam. DMK has already finalized deals with other allies and is aiming to replicate its success in the 2019 elections when the Secular Progressive Alliance won 38 out of 40 Lok Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu.
