Unihealth Medical Consultancy – The Caplin of Hospitals? (26-02-2024)
@pranavpallod12 thank you for starting the thread and giving detailed information…
Being a doctor i was looking for a company within my area of competence but seeing the regulatory hurdles to run a hospital in India always kept me away from hospital s.
As went through thread n ipo discussion n concall got a strong conviction about the business model and various verticals of growth.
Aspirations of young management will be the key in future capital allocations.
I liked the when he speaks about risks of buisness he is very clear about competition is not actually from any listed or unlisted players in sector but risk is in currency fluctuations.and they have plans for that also …
For a microcap which is yet to deliver a lot valuation seemed little high but seeing the growth aspects and strategies eventhough it’s capital intensive business i t was buy for long-term for me.
Disclosure… Entered today at 150 level

Regarding Sandhar, several key points stand out for me. These include the following strategic initiatives:
- Margin Improvement: In FY25, the company aims for a double-digit margin, setting its target at 12-13% in the medium term. This will be driven by enhanced utilization and consolidation of plants.
- Operating Leverage: For FY25, Sandhar has no major capex plans apart from basic maintenance. Expansion plans are contingent upon new orders from customers.
- Balance Sheet Optimization: Sandhar targets to clear Rs 100 crores by the end of FY25.

Voldemort’s Portfolio (26-02-2024)
Update: Feb 24
Current portfolio holdings:
What was done in this meantime
Life
- I worked – Got my salary 2X which opened a lot new opportunities of investment.
PF - Laurus labs – I find the current situation to be a weakness in the stock / business. I still find the company to be highly innovative except for the concern whether they are getting into too much stuff parallelly. Adding them constantly hoping to make a higher allocation after RIL.
- Polymatech – I had already burnt my hands on paytm, However this was an opportunity i did not want to miss. It is the only semiconductor related share i could get on sane PE. Company is reporting YoY sales improvements and is planning to invest on equipment’s from the IPO proceeds as well. Ultra low number of employees is a red flag, Will wait and decide on holding it.
- Mohan Meakin – For long wanted to get a alcohol share which is cheaply valued, Has a track record of people actually liking their stuff. But all those shares are having bizarre PEs. Hence, Looked and picked this one up.
- Jio Financial – Got it during demerger – Expecting a disruption from them. Was adding this but there has been a high price bump which has hindered it.
Exits – RTS power (Swapped for Geekay) , SPITZE – Exited post bonus
Shopping for : JFS, Laurus, Deepak chemtex

Sir, have you always had this thought of participating in stocks which are trending, or is this something you had started to look at, after a few years of investing?
And have you pivoted more towards momentum, or do you have a long-term PF too, which you add to, despite seeing great profits with momentum?
And would you attribute a portion of your success as a momentum participant to market, or, have you reached a stage where you are confident enough that you will see profits even in the absence of a conducive market?
And if you can provide some insight into managing positions w.r.t risk, as momentum can lead to losses too?
I am an enthusiast and learning, hence such questions, hope you don’t mind. And as always, thank you very much for all the knowledge and wisdom you provide.
SKM Egg Products – thinking out of the shell (26-02-2024)
Of course they will, and that is also one of the reasons for their margin contraction in the recent quarter. If they bought their poultry feed from outside instead of manufacturing it in-house their expenses would have been even higher due to the added distributor margin. Are maize prices increasing bad? Yes. Is SKM suffering as much as its competition? In my opinion – no. SKM looks to be better placed.
Sometimes I wonder if selling excess poultry feed could be an added source of income for the company, but I guess we will never know.
