Ola Electric – Full Stack EV play? (20-11-2024)
I’m sorry but the other companies (traditional ones) already have huge cash pile with them so it won’t be a big issue.
Also people are already aware about ola niggles through social media, it would be difficult for them to grow at the pace they were already growing at.
Also the major deal breaker I see is with the management. If you have seen Bhavish’s recent stunt with the comedian on twitter you would get a good idea about the founders priority.

Indraprastha Gas Limited (Special situation/Long term) (20-11-2024)
@sambandham82 @Shaunak_Kiwalkar Thanks for raising valid points.
As I mentioned, these are potential challenges:
- How much does the narrowing of price gap between petrol/diesel and CNG impact IGL’s ability to pass-on price increases? (Key considerations – cost of vehicle, mileage and price differential).
- Any roadblock from government in terms of CGD companies increasing prices?
On the flipside, also worth mentioning:
- Per kilometer running cost is important to the pricing decision and as mentioned in the newsletter: “Even if the gas cost rises by Rs.5 per kg, the cost per kilometre rises to Rs.2.40 per kg (i.e., an increase of fifteen paise per kilometre).”
- Potential benefits from excise duty cut, bringing natural gas under GST – Implications Of Bringing Natural Gas Under The GST Regime
Either way, it’ll be interesting to see how this plays out.

Tata Motors – DVR (20-11-2024)
I cannot believe they really went ahead with this campaign, it’s almost like a competitor sent an infiltrator to sabotage them.
Whenever legacy brands move to such campaigns, it never ends well. It’s a train wreck decision for the entire group, especially when Tata Motors heavily depends on JLR segment for 80% of the profits. It’s a huge disaster.
The weakness in the stock price had already signaled the unfolding story we’re witnessing now. I had already shared it on the forum, never ignore such a high discrepancy in the stock price and the RSI.
More impressions than the Jaguar ad itself.
