I agree that REPCO has better ROA and ROE will improve going forward. Going forward REPCO will also be able to grow at 20-25% for long time.
But is 4.5-5 X P/BV justified to make a fresh purchase ??
Is it reasonably priced ??

Worst quarter results in last 2-3 years. Seems they are heavily suffering due to their inability to pass on RM prices to cattle feed consumers.

Hi,
Nifty is a free float market cap weighted index. For calculating PE of the index, we need price / eps of the index. So we need to calculate eps of the index here. You can calculate that by taking free float market capitalization weighted share of eps of all the underlying 50 stocks. Divide index price by this eps and you will get PE of the index.
You can refer to this link (www.investopedia.com/terms/f/freefloatmethodology.asp) for more knowledge on this.
Apologies if I am not clear here. Answering this in a hurry
The Company has not delivered any returns to the shareholders in the last 7 yrs. The low undervaluation is a myth and if you look at EV/EBITDA, it will compare well with other commodity companies. The Management is not share holder friendly- have not been generous in dividends and buy backs. The market has lost all credibility in the Management and the Company.

Nse website has standalone p/e. You want to calculate consolidated p/e. Every nifty has a weight in the index(which is calculated periodically) and nifty p/e is calculated accordingly.
I rely on PE/PB data as available on NSE's website for its indices. Any particular reason you want to calculate the same on your own?
Hi @rdhoot, can you pls elaborate the above statement pls? India's Majesco share is roughly 2/3rd of what??
Canfin mostly lends to salaried class and even in non salaried class it lends to what people would call safe clientele. But bcos of that the margins are less than Repco. Whereas Repco lends to non salaried class and is able to charge higher rates and hence has higher NIMs.
And in a query to why Repco commands higher valuations its mainly to do with higher ROA as compared to other players like Canfin and GIC etc. Only GRUH comes close to it in terms of ratios.
