Sanjoy Bhattacharya has given an interesting talk in NDTV where he has given valuable advice on what to look for while buying and selling stocks
The interview covers several important aspects of investing. What to look for in a stock: A low cost producer, a monopoly, a differentiated business model etc.
Sanjoy Bhattacharya has also given examples of stocks to prove his point. He has referred to Balkrishna Industries, Concor, ITC, Infosys, Hindustan Lever etc as examples of what consequences would have arisen if these stocks had been bought.
He has also discussed at length whether “buy and hold” still applies and given an explanation of when to sell a stock.
When to sell?
Could not find this point in the interview. 🙁
It is there towards end of interview. Sell only if fundamentals are bad, price is too high or money is needed. Do not sell for flimsly reasons like i will sell now and buy later at cheaper valuations he says.
