Page industries has given good returns in past.Stock has corrected from 17000 plus to 12000 plus. But still ruling at very high PE north of 63 and Price to book north of 35.Does stock desrve these steep valuation????Will it sustain in five figures and contnue to give good return????How long company can deliver on higher base.Page will remain open for further study(rise)?? or time to turn it back(down)?????I have no idea as I dont track but when best of blue chips have given way,Is its strength justfied???? Is it a a sitting Duck???I dont know.Only analysts and wise members may have answers,I have just simple questions out of curiosity and learning.

@kharb i think since page's jockey is a leader brand in under wear, it is considered close to monopoly business. bcoz there is no considerable competitors. high pe may not be sustainable in future if market conditions get worse. so it may come down from 12000.

@kharb from a investment point of view high pe stocks stocks are definitely avoid. but retail investors want quality and ready to pay any price. may be status issue of owning a well known company, but ignorantly making bad investment decision.

paying slightly high price for quality is normal. But that has to be in relation to quality underlying?? Does stock deserve higher PE than Asain paints, which is also riding consumption boom and also enjoying low crude .?????I don't know, just for discussion.

@kharb markets are ineffcient and much irrational than we think it is. so i think high pe are temporary problems and in long run it may come to comfortable levels.
