RBL Bank, is Small also Beautiful?

I am a investor who is fond of investing in Pvt banks, so as habitual,has started with token investment in RBL, will add further on declines. Management looks good, what are views of members about long term investment in this bank.

 

Good quarterly results, profit up 34% yoy inspite of exceptional charge for investment for 9.9% stake in Utkarsh microfin in Sept. It seems now we have another small and beautiful bank with good management which may grow 20% plus for next five years at least due to small base.

 

I saw good research report on RBL with TP of Rs. 474. Bank has good management and outlook is aggresive. Capability is proven of management.

We are bullish on the prospects of RBL Bank (RBL) given that the
management has proven capabilities to build a world class franchise.
And performance of the Bank over the period FY10-16 is testimony to its
capabilities. Advances and deposits have grown at a robust pace of 62%
& 58% respectively, while NII and earnings have followed suit growing at
55.1% and 58%. This scorching pace of growth has been without
compromise on asset quality (in line with that of the private banking
sector).

 

I didn't get chance of Yes Bank IPO. I hope RBL will give me hefty returns.

 

RBL is very good stock. Worth to hold for long time and buy on dips.

I would bet against this

Anybody tracking Karnataka Bank [It's Vijay Kedia's Fav] ? It's available in market so cheap. PBV 0.78 and PE 6.96 where as RBL becoming expensive, PBV 3.82 and PE 36.53

 

Mr. V .Ahuja M.D and CEO of RBL Bank told CNBC TV Lata Venktesh that RBL will grow at rate of 30 to 35% CAGR up to 2020.He says that he is confident ,RBL will achieve it or Over Achieve . I would like to believe him and ride RBL till he holds his promise.

 

So 30-35% CAGR growth in share price from current levels till 2020?

 

Most of CEOs are good salesmen.Their rating depends on their salesmamship..How far this opinin ,which many legendry gurus hold, is justified in your opinion.Having this view they prefer not to meet management.

 

I think Mr Ahuja is pretty good though if I am not mistaken was eased out of BoAML. Is that true @kharb

 

What I mean is they are adept at presenting. rosy picture of the buisness,.They have to be good at it.I am sure you must have this read this opinin expressed by manu GURUs .That is why they prefer to avoid meetig management.. A DISCLAIMER I have no opinion on RBL.Never studied it.

 

I am invested in this stock right from day of listing and has added more there after. I am bullish in this stock for long term due to higher expected growth due to small base. No recommendation but for discussion.

 

good in long term, only concern was less number of branches but too about to resolve as the bank is planning to expand.

 

RBL Bank has excellent management team and maybe multibagger stock.

I have DHFL and Capital First and L&T Finance in portfolio which are also multibagger stocks

 

This stocks of RBL gives a good returns till now I am holding this see what the future gives..
