Tata Motors on Thursday said it will increase costs of its traveler vehicles crosswise over models by up to Rs 40,000 from January 1, 2019, to balance the effect of rising information expenses and increment in fuel costs.

The organization's passenger vehicles portfolio ranges from section level vehicle Nano to the excellent SUV Hexa, which are as of now valued between Rs 2.36 lakh and Rs 17.97 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

The organization will launch its new premium SUV Harrier in January.

"The changing economic situations, rising information costs and different outer financial components have compelled us to consider this cost increment," Tata Motors President of Passenger Vehicles Business Unit Mayank Pareek said in an announcement.
