High growth stocks for portfolio

    Hi friends,

    I wanted to ask if you friends can suggest some stocks with high growth rate for the portfolio picks. Some growth stocks like Page, Eicher, Kitex, Kaveri Seeds, etc have given such phenomenal returns in the last few years. Does anyone have any stock to suggest which can witness high growth in the next few years which can give a boost to the portfolio. Kindly share your suggestions.

    Well, the fact is that many of these stocks are still small cap and mid-cap. They are leaders in their category and have a dominant market share. They have a long runway ahead of them. So, one strategy could be to stick to these proven stocks and add to them at every sign of weakness in the market.

    Samtex Fashions is engaged in the business of manufacture and sales of readymade garments. The positives of Samtex Fashions is that it has a steady growth in sales and net profit. In the past five years, the sales have grown at a CAGR of 29% while the net profit has grown at a CAGR of about 6%. The ROE is at an average of 15% which is quite reasonable. The stock is cheap at a P/E of 3.36x.

    Shaily Engineering Plastics manufactures plastic components for performance polymers. It provides injection molded plastic components, switch gears, and plastic sub assemblies. It is also a small cap with a market cap of Rs. 250 crore. Ashish Kacholia holds 10,00,000 shares. The company is also doing well with a 5 year CAGR in sales of 18%. The ROE is respectable at 15%.

    Both stocks are interesting. However, they are small caps and can be very volatile in their financial performance and stock market performance. I think they deserve more careful study.

    I am also tracking Oberoi Realty since a few days and getting quite tempted to buy it for my portfolio. Debt free, cash rich company. Very exclusive high profile projects coming up in Mumbai. But I am not quite sure if there is any sort of a turnaround in sight for the realty sector in the forseeable future.

    I was just observing Gati Ltd, it has come off quite a lot from its recent top of 341 and trading at around 215. And also the promoters are buying the shares since last 2 quarters. Also, a number of brokerages are bullish about logistic sector for the long term. Can it be a good bet for the portfolio? Does anyone track gati and can comment about the the stock?

    based on Ramesh damani's interview on ET now...GATI's e-commerce segemnt is growing by 10% every month..he says there is scope for e-commerce space in total for 100 cr packages for year and as of now they are at 1 cr only....not sure if all of it will materialize
