Half of Porinju’s stocks gave multibagger returns in three years, but in the red now

In an interview with ET, Veliyath claimed his investment portfolio has generated 33 per cent average compounded returns every year since 2003.

We tried to run a check on that claim. Through the year, Veliyath has doled out a few investment ideas on business TV channels. Though the stocks he mentioned were not a part of his PMS offering, some were his personal investments.

This is what we found.




Of the nine stocks he has spoken about in 2016, five have given negative returns so far this year. But that's not the most intriguing part.

Of the nine stocks, six or 66 per cent have managed to deliver multibagger returns to investors over the past three years while two gave marginally negative returns.
