NOCIL faces challenge from Chinese / Korean competitors. It's profitability is largely dependent on dumping rules by government. If anti dumping duty is taken off from its products, it will face huge pressure on its margins. NOCIL is a leader in its product suite and is focusing on R&D. Business is facing tailwinds due to govt support.

2. Eveready Industries India Ltd
Well Known Brand now entering into electric house equipment like toasters, mixers, iron etc under young dynamic management lead by Amritanshu Khaitan.

1) Batteries business steady growth; but should benefit from fall in zinc.

2) LED seems to be the focus for growth. Very aggressive ad campaign & pricing Can grow 20% for next 4-5 years.

3) Wider dealer network

4) E-commerce focus: products in LED & batteries.

Point to ponder : Expanding return ratios

3.ALKYL AMINES CHEMICALS LTD


Last three years growth is muted...but The firm has capacity expansion planned in Dahej which is underway and should come online FY 17-18.

 

4.Exide Industries

Derives 60% revenues from automotive batteries.
Company's undertaking capex to the tune of 1400 cr funded by internal accruals.
Also, its Life Insurance Business is doing reasonably well.

Fundamentally Good co at a technically opportune time
