    IndiaNivesh has issued a detailed research report about the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) and its impact on the Indian Textile Sector based on interaction with Industry experts.

    The United States is in advanced stages of passage of Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement – one of the largest free trade agreement signed till date. Currently, TPP involves 12 countries including the US, Japan, Australia, Peru, Malaysia, Vietnam, New Zealand, Chile, Singapore, Canada, Mexico, and Brunei Darussalam. TPP has been lead by the United States and has been under negotiations since more than five years.

    We interacted with industry experts (from Textile Export Promotion Council and Wazir Advisors (textile consultants)) on the topic to understand the likely impact of the agreement on Indian textile industry. Following are the key excerpts:
