Samit Vartak's Sage One Fund says Trent is a high conviction buy with the highest weight of 8% in portfolio. Top 10 stocks in the portfolio gave 54% to 238% YoY return. the Fund held only 10% in PSUs (Power & BFSI). Investment in Railways, Defence, Oil & Gas cos is negligible though they are top performers. This is due to lack of predictability and lack of understanding of these sectors.

Sage One Fund bought 5 stocks & sold 5 stocks during the year. It gave 61% return in 12 months & outperformed Nifty's 33% & also the median of top 10 large-cap and mid-cap mutual funds. Portfolio is diversified across sectors. Exposure to PSU stocks is low. Churn rate is 20%
