DCB Bank

Does any one know what was discussed in agm? Price shot up 5%, was it speculation or is there any good news coming up!

Just sit tight on DCB Bank ,as it may be among fastest to double in banking sector ,other good small pvt sector banks are federal bank and rbl bank.This is my view for discussion and not any recommendations to buy any stock.

 

It has already given me 90% from buy levels , just wondering if it will be merged or something.

In my view as stock has good run up ,so any merger with big bank may not be better choice as merger ratio gain may not be huge ,rather present stand alone status will help as growth at smaller base is always easier .So if this bank keep on growing at 20% CAGR ,then investers can hope for 20%CAGR return for a decade .

 

Agreed, I read it provably on MMB that hdfc was interested in DCB, hence the question. Completely agree that at times small is beautiful and if it grows well, it will reward much better than a large bank.
