I don't have any idea as I am not tracking it. I think established IT company will also use big data analytics. So I think it's not advisable to invest in such company who is only in big data. Tommorow new technology may come and big data would not trending.

 

Technvision is yet to prove itself.

i bet you are asking about data analytics because you must've read big data is the next big thing or data analytics is big, i keep hearing it too, all it reminds me is of the dot com bubble

be very cautious if you do trade in any such stocks apart from the big companies!

every marketer is giving personalised adverts with browsing history and the data that facebook sells to provide us with a more "personalised" experience, in the Indian space - don't know about any big names specifically in that but Infosys & Wipro have a presence

let me try to simplify it for you .
Big data is nothing but processing a huge amount of data .
Simple example :
You do google search for some thing and you start getting related pop up ads in your browser.
You use facebook and it steals your preference, websites you visited, your interests and you start getting related posts in your account .

Can we imagine how exactly this works ? Thats big data analytics .
Did we ever wondered when we use facebook freely how does it earns ?
It collects data from you, process it and sell it, literally.

So big data is processing huge unconventional data, every click, every like, every browse, every email, its contents, patterns , images ... and so on... and uses it for the benefit of corporate .

One more example :
A big auto company willing to launch concept car, it shares it on social networking and ask some big data company to understand response of customers , which decides the success of their product.

Big data is more about RnD so established companies do not dare to enter it . This is specialized field .
A Indian company Inmobi who works on mobile based targeted advertising is termed as next Indian google. If we can find out next google in nascent state, you can imagine the gains .
So big data related thinking is Just perfect, please keep it up .
