    Alphageo's fortunes are tied with that of crude oil. It is difficult to predict the trend of crude oil because it is dependent on a number of factors.

    This is one of the risks of investing in commodity stocks. There are too many unpredictable issues.

    According to some experts, crude oil prices will see a spike in the near future. However, there are an equally large number of experts who hold the bearish view.

    I think a small allocation to Alphageo is justified because it is a very well run company and has good prospects. If crude oil prices do spike, stocks like Alphageo, Selan exploration etc will be the first movers.
