Kama Holdings, the primary investment company of SRF Group, has a market cap of just Rs 915 crore but it directly holds 52.3 percent stake in SRF. The value for the SRF holding is around Rs 3,700 crore

so many Holding companies are there , but value unlocking is most important ...
mainly liquidity in that stock and daily volume will play key role ....

 

holding company discount, value trap, only dividend income, minority shareholders at the mercy of promoters

buy good quality, dividend paying holding companies if you're bullish on the underlying assets but don't expect superlative gains, they'll always trade at a discount

I bought Pilani Investments after it started trading on NSE.

If you're patient and can consider an illiquid share, look at Tata Sons. Unlisted. But if you can find a seller, buy it.

@ BombayBoy ji well said , we should not struck with those holding companies , we depend on promoters mercy is the final result .....i never invest in any holding company.... if we want to sell buyer always quote less price ....price gap and low volume is the main problems ....
