Debt funds, Mutual Funds or Equity?

In this confusing scenario, where should one invest? Or switch?

 

Cash
Gilt edged bonds
Gold

or just a holiday and be back later when things look better

I feel it'll only get worse before stabilising or getting better.

 

Mutual Funds & Gold would be my take

I am staying invested in following MFs in SIP mode ...

HDFC Top 200 (Large Cap) --- Neutral Performance
HDFC Prudence (Hybrid)--- Poor Performance
HDFC Midcap Oppurtunities (Midcap)--- Very Good Performance

However you can also look at Franklin India Prima Plus (Multicap), HDFC Balanced (Hybrid), Reliance Tax Saver (ELSS), Franklin India Blue Chip (Largecap), DSPBR Microcap (Smallcap)
