Really Government encouraging Equity Investment or F&O (Derivatives ) ??????

which is " Dog ? Which is Tail ?

Finance minister watched this variations or not ????

please watch this attached post from zerodha brokarege calculator

STT is very high in Equity delivery and STT is very less in F&O

if a person Buy 1000 shares at a price of Rs. 400 for delivery and sell at same price Rs. 400
    total turnover Rs. 800000
and for that government charges STT Rs. 800 /-

if a person buy 1000 quty lot in Futures at Rs. 400 /- and sell that position at same price Rs. 400
    Total turnover Rs. 800000
and for that government charges STT Rs. 40 ONLY

    IS IT ENCOURAGING EQUITY ????

WHO IS DOG AND WHO IS TAIL IN PRIME MINISTER VIEW

Mutual funds also buy equity and these delivery STT charges also they will pay and it is indirectly
    burden on MF NAV

main problem is with Finance Minister ... who is not doing proper Tax structure ...

i mean mutual funds are managed by experts for 1% fees, so investors will prefer MF's because of high transaction charges for direct equity.

STT is common for all including MFs also , maintaining fees is separate , MF also buy stocks so they have to bear high STT charges than F&O Segment ...10 times higher than F&O STT charges , that is bad ... crores of rupees burden on equity segment
