Honest (incld blunt) feedback sought on my holdings

Turnaround stocks are usually high risk high return types. The returns in such stocks can be huge. At the same time it may seriously dent your capital invested if anything goes wrong during the turnaround process.
Whatever I have written is my personal reason for buying the stock for my personal portfolio. So please dont go only by my analysis. It may be wrong too. Use your own judgement, do your research and then take a call on the stock. Good luck

Exited today at around 564. Made a neat 14-15% in a fortnight. Now holding only core portfolio. And waiting for some other trading idea for short term gains

 

WHY? According to Religare report stock has target of 640. You are not believer in story?

 

I had just bought it to make quick bucks. I am happy with 15% in 15 days. More ever the religare report has not specified time frame for the target. It may take a year to achieve it. By that time I would have made 100% more by swift trading in other companies. I usually indulge a small part of my money in positional trading so as to finance my long term holdings.

Impressive strategy. How do you manage the short term tax? Pls do share some info. on how to reduce this in short term trading. My view was that if the amount is small then it short term trading profits along with tax can be more of a pain. Do share your thoughts.

I am not very good at tax planning. I usually pay whatever STCG tax is payable on profits above the exemption limit.
My main strength is LTCG through portfolio holdings which is tax free. So not too much bothered about tax figures of short term positional trading (which are usually very small figures).
