Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone reports 16% rise in Q2 consolidated net profit

Total income of the company has increased by 6.30% at Rs 1985.94 crore for quarter under review
Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2015.

The company has reported 95.89% rise in its net profit at Rs 1036.96 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2015 as compared to Rs 529.37 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The company’s total income has increased by 40.64% to Rs 1803.54 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 1282.41 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported 16.38% rise in its net profit after taxes, minority interest and share of profit/(Loss) of associates at Rs 667.46 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2015 as compared to Rs 573.52 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has increased by 6.30% at Rs 1985.94 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 1868.29 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2014.

Escorts has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2015.

The company has posted net profit at Rs 16.18 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2015 as compared to net loss Rs 7.86 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. however, the company’s total income has decreased by 18.59% to Rs 816.43 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 1002.91 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Escorts offer a comprehensive range of tractors with more than 45 variants starting from 25 to 80 HP. The company also manufactures and markets a diverse range of equipments like cranes, loaders, vibratory rollers and forklifts.

TVS Motor Company on Monday reported 14 percent increase in total sales at 2,74,622 units in October.

The Chennai-based company had sold 2,41,044 units in the same month last year. Total two-wheeler sales for the month grew 14 percent to 2,64,112 units as against 2,31,990 units in October 2014, TVS Motor Company said in a statement.
Motorcycle sales increased 17 percent to 1,06,175 units last month compared with 90,779 units in the corresponding month a year ago.

Scooter sales grew 30 percent to 91,430 units in October 2015 as against 70,571 units in the corresponding month last year. Exports last month jumped 20 percent to 41,682 units, compared to 34,855 units in the corresponding month a year ago.
