Marico reports 27% rise in Q2 consolidated net profit

Total income of the company has increased by 3.93% at Rs 1499.59 crore for quarter under review
Marico has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2015.

The company has reported 1.47% fall in its net profit at Rs 126.30 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2015 as compared to Rs 128.19 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, the company’s total income has increased by 0.63% to Rs 1203.79 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 1196.25 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported 27.45% rise in its net profit after taxes, minority interest and share of profit / (loss) of associates of Rs 150.72 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2015 as compared to Rs 118.26 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has increased by 3.93% at Rs 1499.59 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 1442.87 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2014.

The company has reported 4.45% rise in its net profit at Rs 100.60 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2015 as compared to Rs 96.31 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, the company’s total income has decreased by 16.13% to Rs 3569.88 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 4256.46 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

PTC India acts as intermediary between buyer and sellers of power. In case of cross-border trading, the company plays the role of a nodal agency. It offers advisory services for setting up independent power producing plants.

Torrent Pharma commences commercial operation at its new plant in Dahej

The new plant, situated in Dahej SEZ is spread across 70 acres site with a built up area of around 97000 Square Meters
Torrent Pharma, one of the leading pharma companies of the country has commenced commercial operations at its new plant in Dahej. This is the company's 5th formulation plant and the second API plant. The facility is being set up in a two phases. The total investment made in the first phase of the plant is over Rs 650 crore.

The new plant, situated in Dahej SEZ is spread across 70 acres site with a built up area of around 97000 Square Meters. Phase I will have installed capacity of about 7,500 million tablets / capsules and 25 MT API per annum. The plant will cater mainly to the more regulated international markets such as US, Brazil, Germany etc. and is already approved / under approval by regulatory authorities of these countries. Construction of Phase II will commence soon and once commissioned the total capacity will increase to about 14,000 million tablets / capsules and 80 MT API per year.
