SHOULD INDIA control population growth like china did?

no ... there is no chance with in a decade , in India there is lot of freedom for people is the main hurdle for it and all governments neglected this important issue after Indira Gandhi government , i am not understand government policy they are not trying to control population and instead of that , for huge population begging for employment to other countries investments in India .....

their is a big population blow to India very soon

 

Big problem is going to happen in Country. In 1974 JRD Tata had warned of population explosion when population was very low in country. Problem is of Hindu and Muslim also. Hindu feel that if they have population control Muslim will take over and India will become Islamic State. So, some RSS have said minimum 5 child every Hindu must have. Muslim have reverse fear that they will become minority in Country. So problem cannot be solved IMHO.

LIKE CHINA .... LONG BACK CHINA SAID DEMOCRACY IS NOT FOR ALL , AFTER ALL ARE EDUCATED AND THEY UNDERSTAND COUNTRY SITUATIONS AND PROBLEMS , THEN ONLY DEMOCRACY WILL WORK , ONE PAIR ONE CHILD IS ONLY SOLUTION IF THEY ARE HINDU OR ANY RELIGION IS THE ONLY SOLUTION FOR INDIA , RELIGION IS COMPLETELY RESTRICT TO INSIDE THEIR HOUSES ONLY ...

FIRST NATIONAL INTEREST AND THEN PEOPLE INTEREST , IN MY VIEW IN FUTURE THERE IS A VERY BID CATASTROPHE HAPPEN IN INDIA

 

where is the resources for 1.3 billion people in our country. congress govt has destroyed our country thru corruption and playing subsidy politics. as srouta said if india controlled population by restricting 3 children per pair the issue would have been solved to an extend. 21% of our population lives in poverty ie., more than 27 crore people which is almost equal to entire population of america.
i think the govt shud not give subsidy or free education to families having more than 3 children.

 

yes correct , and mainly illiterates are deciding India fate through their vote,
government should make laws 1 pair one child through parliament
