Which is the longest holding you had/have in portfolio?

From the last one decade, I am associated with the market, I would like to share my long holdings portfolio: 1. Caplin point which was life changing for me, 2. Avanti feeds has made my portfolio up to a certain extent, 3., at last, I bought reliance power was was the biggest disaster. I lost most of my money.
One think I had learned that never goes with the major flow because most of the people would like to go with the flow as everyone is doing the similar things. So, never follow others, do your own research and always remember never miss money because if you lose the money then it will be very harder to get the money back. Let's say if you have invested Rs.100 in a share and after a year it went into Rs.50, then to recover that money you have to earn 100% profit on your next share. So, that 100% will not matter at all. As you will just get the money back. And always calculate your valuable time, it can't be taken as a free.

I also come from IT industry and I work in core IT. It depends upon your risk appetite and your bullishness about a sector. What Tata Elxsi is working on is not the type which biggies like TCS, Infy may go after. Now I might be wrong in the future, but I have seen the work of those co.s and they will not meddle with a product co. like Tata Elxsi. Tata Elxsi is a good IoT play with decent promoters backing it.

 

I am holding shares of infosys from 2 years and they are offering me good returns.

 

Fortunately or unfortunately, I don't know, shares didn't allotted to me. Let's how it debuts.
