Forbes has an interesting write up on the world’s highest earning cricketers. Mahendra Singh Dhoni topped the list with an income of USD 2,65,00,000 (INR 140 crores). Not surprisingly, Rs. 122 crores came from advertisements and commercials while the rest (a paltry Rs. 18 crores came from cricket.
Sachin Tendulkar was number two in the list with an income of USD 1,86,00,000 (Rs. 98.58 crores).
The other cricketers who made it to the coveted Forbes’ list are Gautam Gambhir (USD 73 lakh), Virat Kohli (USD 71 lakh), Virender Sehwag (USD 69 lakh), Shane Watson (USD USD 59 lakh), Michael Clarke (USD 49 lakh), Brett Lee (USD 48 lakh), Ricky Ponting (USD 41 lakh) and Yusuf Pathan (USD 37 lakh).
