Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s wealth doubled (120%) to Rs. 11.70 crores over the last one year. However, compared to Praful Patel’s assets worth Rs 125 crore, Manmohan Singh is literally poverty stricken. Of course, he can take solace from A.K.Antony, Defence Minister & Jaipal Reddy, Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas who are worth only Rs. 46 lakhs and Rs. 66 lakhs respectively. The surprise was Kamal Nath, Union Cabinet Minister of Urban Development, whose wealth plunged from Rs. 203 crores to a paltry Rs. 17.60 crores, down a whopping 91%. How did this happen? Stock market losses or some other hera-pheri?
