The auspicious Muhurat trade on the first day of Hindu Samavat 2072 ended on a positive note on Wednesday as equities staged a smart rebound after a five-session slump with the benchmark Sensex surging by 124 points to close at 25,866.95.
Here are few stocks which are likely to remain in focus today:
1) Indiabulls Housing Finance: The company on Thursday said it will acquire a 39.76 per cent stake in the UK’s OakNorth Bank for $100 million (about Rs 661 crore), which will help it chart a roadmap to a deposit-taking franchise.
2) Tata Motors: Tata Motors on November 10 post market hours informed BSE that it has posted 13.31 per cent increase in global sales, including Jaguar Land Rover’s, at 92,949 units in October. The company had sold 82,026 units in the same month last year.
3) Dr Reddy’s Laboratories: In a fresh jolt to Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, a US court has directed the pharma major to temporarily stop selling its generic version of Esomeprazole in the American market. According to a statement issued by the company, the US District Court of Delaware issued the order based on a motion moved by AstraZeneca objecting to the usage of the colour purple in the generic version of Nexium (Esomeprazole).
4) Kokuyo Camlin: The company on November 10 informed BSE that it has received Rs 10,323.66 lakh by way of allotment of equity Shares on Rights basis to the members of the company. In terms of Clause 43 of the Listing Agreement, the utilisation of the aforesaid amount of Rs 10,323.66 lakh for the quarter ended September 30, 2015.
5) CESC: CESC will announce its results for the second quarter ended September 30, 2015 on Friday. For the first quarter ended June 30, 2015, the company posted net profit of Rs 152 crore, up 0.66 per cent, against Rs 151 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
6) Coal India: The company will also announce its Q2 results on November 13. For the quarter ended, the company posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 3764.34 crore, down 6.67 per cent, against Rs 4033.22 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.
7) HCL Technologies: IBM Corp and HCL Technologies on Thursday announced a strategic partnership to jointly build hybrid cloud solutions to help enterprises drive their digital transformations. HCL will use Bluemix, IBM’s Cloud platform to build applications and solutions in the areas of Unified Service Management and Internet of Things (IoT).
8) National Fertilizers: The company on Thursday informed BSE that its has posted a standalone net profit of Rs 5,410 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2015. It posted net profit of Rs 6,175 crore in the same quarter last year.
9) Indian Overseas Bank: The bank on November 12 informed BSE that the interational credit rating agency Moody’s Investors Service, Singapore, has affiremed the bank’s deposit ratings and downgraded Baseline Credit Assessment to b3; changed outlook to negative from stable.
10) Muthoot Fincorp: The company on Thursday informed BSE that November 16, 2015 has been fixed as the Record Date for the purpose of payment of Interest for NCD.
11) Tata Steel: The company has received green nod for expansion as well as setting up of two units at its Joda plant in Keonjhar district, Odisha, entailing an investment of over Rs 185 crore.
12) Spicejet: The airline on Thursday reported a net profit of Rs 23.77 crore in the three months ended September on the back of a steep fall in fuel costs and other expenses. It had a net loss of Rs 310.45 crore in the year-ago period.
13) Unitech: The realty firm’s bookings remained flat at Rs 524 crore in the first six months of this financial year due to demand slowdwon in the property market. It had sales bookings of Rs 527 crore in the first half of 2014-15 fiscal.
