It may be recalled that Daljeet Kohli’s Model Portfolio has heavily out-performed the benchmark index. While the “balanced” portfolio gave stunning gains of 29.9%, the “conservative” portfolio gave a gain of 12.8%. However, the “aggressive” portfolio disappointed with a loss of 12.2% thanks to the “adventurous” nature of stocks chosen therein.

Now, in the midst of the savage correction that we are presently witnessing, Daljeet has once again risen to the occasion. He has pored over the Q3FY16 results of several companies and hand-picked ten top-quality stocks which show a lot of promise.

The first point worth noting is that Daljeet has chosen seven stocks from the mid-cap space and three stocks from the large-cap space. The rationale is that while the mid-cap stocks will power the portfolio with handsome gains, the large caps will provide much needed stability should the markets turn turbulent.

The second point worth noting is that Daljeet has cleverly chosen stocks from different sectors. So, there are two NBFC stocks, two auto stocks, one Pharma stock, one Oil & gas stock, one insurance stock, one commodity PSU, one realty and one telecom stock. This gives the portfolio much-needed diversification.

The third point worth noting is that each stock is a powerhouse in its own right. Each boasts of top-quality management, dominance in the market place and rapid trajectory of growth.

Now, what we have to watch is whether these stocks will out-perform Daljeet’s own flagship “balanced” portfolio and if so by what margin!

  1. He might be holding these stocks and looking for a “safe exit” by recommending them to the poor retailer investors!!!!

    1. Yes, probably HNI+Mgmt+Broker syndicate operations were over in his earlier recommended scrips, like MAJESCO. Hence, BEWARE of the trap to entice gullible small investors by so-called ‘EXPERTS’ like this. Buyer Beware at all times on all tips from all brokers/experts !!
