If you have been tracking Dolly Khanna’s stock picks for a length of time, you would’ve realized that this super-savvy investor does not buy a stock unless she is *confident* that there are hefty gains in it for her. How Dolly reaches that confidence level is a trade secret that she will not reveal to us. However, it has helped her pick super-duper multi-bagger stocks like Cera Samitaryware, RS Software and Avanti Feeds, to name only a few.
Vijay Kedia’s life story of rags to riches is an inspiration that we need to look up to. His portfolio of huge chunks of winning stocks like Cera Sanitaryware, Atul Auto, Liberty Shoes etc tells you that this genial gent knows a thing or two about stock-picking.
It may be a co-incidence but it may not be an exaggeration to say that Vijay Kedia is one of Dolly Khanna’s many admirers. There is a great deal of commonness in their stock picks as is evidenced by Cera Sanitaryware and Liberty Shoes.
As with anyone who teams up with Dolly, Vijay Kedia has also reaped a rich reward from these stocks.
Dolly Khanna bought a chunk of 1,16,174 shares of Premier Explosives in the June 2014 quarter. Her purchase price ranges from Rs. 80 to Rs. 150.
Vijay Kedia has followed Dolly’s footsteps and bought a chunk of 1,00,000 shares for himself in the September 2014 quarter.
The best part is that it is not only Dolly and Kedia who are bullish about Premier Explosives. The promoters have also been on a buying spree. Another big buyer is/ was Manish Satyanarayan Nuwal, the promoter of Solar Industries, a competitior of Premier Explosives. Manish Nuwal bought the stock when it was languishing at Rs. 40 – 60. He appears to have cashed in on the huge gains from the stock.
What appears to have got Dolly Khanna and Vijay Kedia interested is the huge prospects for Premier Explosives from the defense sector. NAMO has indicated that the Government will aggressively pursue a policy of self-reliance in the defense sector. He has also indicated that the FDI limit could be raised from 49% to a higher limit. If any of this comes to fruition, Premier will take off like a rocket stock. Premier’s CMD also indicated in an interview to CNBC that the Company has signed a number of MoUs, IOPs and that it is also actively pursuing joint ventures with big-ticket manufacturers.
So, it does appear that Dolly Khanna and Vijay Kedia have got themselves another winner stock in Premier Explosives. Whether you want to join their exalted company or stay on the sidelines is a decision that you have to take.
