The first thing that will strike you as noteworthy is that the results are extremely disparate. If you thought that in the raging bull market, all stocks have surged and given handsome gains, you are wrong. Even some top notch companies are languishing.
Ajay Relan of CX Partners rules the roost amongst the 15 stock pickers. His stock pick, MPS Ltd, has delivered a mind-boggling return of 267%. Close on his heels is Saurabh Mukerjea of Ambit Capital whose brilliant contrarian pick, Motilal Oswal, has yielded gains of 175.

Five stock pickers, Rajesh Kothari, KP Singaravelu, Gajendra Nagpal, Tirthankar Patnaik and Basant Maheshwari showed impressive results ranging between 106% to 137% gains.
Five other stock pickers, Rajat Rajgarhia, Satish Ramanathan, Nick Paulson-Ellis,Vikas Khemani and Manish Bhandari have shown respectable market-beating returns ranging from 44% to 68%.
Three stock pickers have under-performed, of which two have suffered the ignominy of showing flat/ negative returns.
This is quite a revelation to me. I never thought that well known companies like Mahindra Holidays and Tata Global Beverages could so severely under-perform as to give negative/ flat returns even in a raging bull market.
If you would have invested an equal amount in each of the 15 stocks, you would be basking in impressive gains of 87%.
Anyway, what we have to look out for is the stock picks of the wizards for 2015.
It is impossible to invest in each stock in equal amounts and the calculation is wrong and misleads by a substantial margin. Having said that there is gains no doubt.
